Our Work

We build community libraries that provide innovative educational opportunities. Because we value excellence, we only implement programs that show capacity for high-impact results for our learners.

Our Programs

We provide educational support to local schools and communities through our mentor program, village voices speaker series, and our reading incentive program.

Literacy Support

Our libraries are equipped with high-quality books and computers, internet access, and solar power, which all support quality access to learning. We also provide trained local librarians who organize, promote, and support our literacy-driven programs.

Educator Support

In addition to student-centered services, we support local educators. Our library resources and access to online training and other support services help educators in rural communities to the access they need to provide a quality experience for their learners.

A safe connected structure is the first step to accessing a quality learning environment.

Impact and Evaluation

At ITAV, we are learners too. And our constant learning through trial and error, assessments, and monitoring and tracking helps make us better.

If a project isn’t sustainable or impactful, we don’t do it. Period. Our learners success remains our primary aim.

Community Engagement

From application to delivery, the communities we serve are right alongside us. Each community must provide 20% of the cost through labor and/or materials. If a community is serious about having a ITAV library, they participate in a rigorous vetting process that prepares them to fully participate from planning to completion and beyond.
