Micro Projects

Project and timelines are communicated once a project has been committed to. A 10% deposit is needed to start any project. Impact reports and media will be provided by Village Book to the supporting party, to use as they see fit. Village Book will also set up trips to the site if the supporting group wishes to make the excursion, contact Village Book for more information.

Ahero Library Ceiling

Description: Recently built, Ahero library has begun collecting educational resources such as books and computers. However, the local village is hesitant to fill the library with such resources due to the lack of a ceiling. Insufficient funding has limited Village Book Builders in providing a roof for this location, which would protect resources from rain storms. Funding will allow the construction of the library to be complete, ensuring a safe and dry environment for students and resources. 

 

Chebosi Library Ceiling and Five Computers

Description: Chebosi Library has been filled with bookshelves and desks. However, the library is unable to fill the vicinity with learning resources due to the lack of a ceiling. Without a ceiling, rainstorms can destroy these resources. A ceiling will allow Chebosi Library to protect resources from environmental threats. Lastly, Chebosi Library has requested funding for five computers that will strengthen their mentorship program. These computers will be used for online mentor sessions and homework assignments.

Kadzakalowa Library Bookshelves, Ceiling, and Two Computers

Description: Village Book Builders has implemented a library and mentorship program in Kadzakalowa. All learning opportunities have been successful, however, the bookshelves have been falling apart. When the bookshelves break, this can be dangerous to students and can damage library resources. New bookshelves will allow students to safely store library resources. Kadzakalowa is also in desperate need of a ceiling to protect the inside of the library from storms. Lastly, Kadzakalowa is requesting two additional computers as their mentorship program has flourished throughout the years. 

El Olvido Computer Lab

Description: The El Olvido library has been in operation for 4 years and has transformed the small mountain top village of El Olvido. Now they are looking to gather enough computers to have computer classes, this will give the kids the skills they need to get good-paying jobs in the city
