Educational Programming

mentoring

Our mentorship program is designed to support and enhance children’s English language proficiency through personalized guidance and assistance. The program pairs each child with a dedicated mentor who is proficient in English and has a passion for helping children succeed.

ELL

Our English Language Learners (ELL) courses are tailored to support our students whose first language is not English. This multi-level course aims to enhance their proficiency in English, enabling them to succeed not only academically, but also professionally later in life. Through interactive lessons, personalized instruction, and a supportive learning environment, students will develop the necessary language skills to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Digital Literacy

Our Digital Literacy course is designed to equip students with essential skills to navigate the digital world. In today’s technology-driven society, digital literacy is crucial for academic success and future career opportunities, and is a vital step in preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. By fostering a comprehensive understanding of technology and its applications, we are empowering the next generation to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Village Voices

Village Voices is an inspiring initiative that invites celebrated authors and illustrators into our libraries for weekly story times. Through interactive virtual visits, this program aims to ignite a love for reading, storytelling, and creativity among children who have limited access to books and educational resources. By connecting these young learners with influential literary figures, Village Voices fosters a sense of possibility and empowerment.

Village Classroom

Our Village Classroom series is an innovative program designed to provide our students with access to quality education through virtual teaching sessions. Educators from around the world volunteer to teach our learners on a variety of topics, enriching their educational experience and broadening their horizons. This initiative leverages the power of technology to bridge educational gaps and inspire a love for learning among children who face significant barriers to education.

Job Skills Training

A significant gap exists in the space of higher education–vocational/technical training and formal university education. Designed for post-secondary learners to acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies in the labor market, our vocational education program will include career training and work-based components. Successful completion of the program will lead to labor-market relevant qualifications. The program also offers an optional path toward a university degree, including work-study stipends.
